First time I wore this hat (1-28-2012) I got caught outside in a Michigan very windy sleet storm. This hat kept my head 100% dry and warm. No water leakage. Now I don't leave home without it. I love this hat. I just ordered a second one in case I can't find the first one. No more trips to the doctors for ear infections and ear aches. I wish I had one of these hats to wear for the 40 years I worked outside winter construction. I would have worn it every winter day under my hard hat. The leather is top quality. It fits perfect using the sizing chart. 2 snaps allow the front flap to be lowered. The best hat I've ever purchased.
