I was frostbitten in my fingers as a kid, and anytime temps get below 40, they're really cold. Below freezing, they turn blue. Nowhere among traditional outdoor outfitters was I able to find handwear which kept the cold out. Even though we are experiencing moderate temps here in central Texas now, I'm confident that these mittens will do the job. I'm even thinking about putting them on a string down each sleeve and across the shoulders, much like the kid in "Home Alone." (Just kidding). However, the leather smell is wonderful. I'm praying for a cold spell. Thanks for a great product.
