Stay Stylish Winter Capes and Wraps

Winter WrapYou might have been noticing that for the fall and winter looks in fashion runways this year, winter capes and winter wraps have replaced the traditional winter coats.  Yes, the coats have been absent and not seen nearly as much in winter fashion shows. However, these capes and wraps are not retro forties inspired, but rather, modern cuts and details have been applied, so they become perfect alternatives to winter coats. This fall and winter, give your jackets and trenches some rest – put them back on their hangers, and you wrap yourself into a cape or wrap….beautifully and in style.

These wraps and capes are used as outer garments; they are sleeveless.  In modern times fashion, the cape is a shorter garment than the cloak.  There are times, however, when the cape and the cloak are synonymously used for full length version of various types of garments.  Winter capes can also be used to serve as protection from the rain and snow. New warm winter capes and warm winter wraps help you stay comfortable and warm.  You can choose from many fur materials like mink, fox, rex rabbit, as well as many colors and styles.

Some styles of winter capes and wraps are reversible, which means they can be worn on either side.  Others have reverse side in polyester that will keep the wind and rain out of your body.  They have hoods lined with fleece, and buttons down the cape front, in black or the same color of the cape.

The forecast this year is that fall and winter will be colder than the average, so if it will be a winter wedding for you, you need protection.  Don’t catch cold on your special day.  Put on a white winter cape if you are having pictures taken outside, and even if you just need to walk to the church from your bridal car. Pair your winter capes or wraps with a fur hat for that put together look.
